ABOUT ME
Ian is part of the new generation of up-and-coming artistic photographers, setting new standards in creativity through the eyes of not just the lens, but the artist behind the lens. From a very early age, Ian has shown an interest in the arts. He has grown up in Orange County, surrounded by California’s natural beauty, but has also been surrounded by the arts in one way or another, as far back as he can remember, since his father is an artist, and his mother a flamenco dancer.
This diversity of upbringing, and his natural instinct for contemplating the individual beauty that objects, places, or individuals each posses, eventually led him to photography. Through his lens, Ian is able to capture a precious moment of time – whether it be found in a beautiful face, in nature, or in the simplest object. Beauty lies in the lens of the beholder and Ian is always ready to capture that beauty for his clients and projects in a creative and unique way.
For over 8 years, Ian has worked with Digital SLR equipment and professional editing software. Ian has participated in the annual “Our Land, Our People, Our Mission” 2007, 2008, 2009, shows at Mission San Juan Capistrano, curated by Villas & Verandas Fine Art Gallery. His photography has been shown and sold at the gallery since 2006 and hangs in various private collections. He has photographed fashion shows at the Newport Museum of Art, and for various private fund-raising events.
